Hullo, and welcome to my little corner for graphic design, such as wallpapers, banners, icons, ads, posters, promotional and others, as well as drawings and poetry. The header is by me, featuring brushes by Annika Von Holdt and Fleur de Lis. And yes, that is my love, Frodo Baggins, and a fairy by Cicely Mary Barker. You can also visit my formal graphic design portfolio Pearl Graphics and my collection of artistic inspiration Quaint and Curious.

Awards!

I was tagged by Shaylynn (HERE is her charming arts and crafts blog.) Thank you so very much! Since I have been bestowed upon with the titles of Stylish and Versatile blogger, I shall now redistribute and present them to some unique and talented others. (They say fifteen, but...)

A Rose in Bloom blogs about her life as a Shieldmaiden of Heaven.
The Lay of Caleniel Essilie~Emily never fails to make my day truly fabulous, by either her clever random commentary, or her genuine literary quality. (If my adjectives sound quirky today, blame the snow...)
The Grey Traveler's Inn Celtic Traveler (I think you may have one of these awards already, but I'm personally giving both to you..) has a really classy and intriguing blog full of book, film, etc discussions and opinions, with some quite thought-provoking finds as well.
Moments of Grace in Middle-earth Anne Marie is the authoress of an upcoming book of the same title, on the subject of the beauty of the deeper Catholic meanings in the Tolkien's works.
All that is Gold Marian's blog is all sorts of lovely things, from book reviews to music (and I simply MUST direct attention to this post of hers... *yes* *yes* *yes* *yes*)

Oh noes, this isn't over yet. I now have to tell you 7 things about myself. *passes around popcorn and pillows*

1. My favorite non-digital art medium that I work in is charcoal. The stuff is lovely. And it's funny,'cause I'm usually so nit-pickily neat, and many folks don't like it 'cause it's so messy, but I just love working with it. Reductive drawing(where the paper is blackened and an eraser is used to draw) is quite enjoyable. I'm actually starting my first ever" painting class. (I don't know how poor artists make/made livings doing it... thank God for coupons and sales.

2. I'm 20 and I'm sort of a mix between Peter Pan, Mr. Magorium, (various other dreamy adults) as far as the magic of childhood goes. I love toys, I believe in faeries (I do, I do!), I'm hopelessly in love with Frodo Baggins (not that that's an unusual thing...pssht), I (sort of) have an imaginary friend (oh, so I guess I'm in desperate need of some real social life... actually, I thank God that I don't have a large circle of friends. I actually feel sorry for folks who can't seem to get schoolwork, etc done, because of the commitments they have, like having to text all the time, party, etc. Believe me, I'm happy that I have the time and space for being creative, productive: I work best on my own, and thus far, this has had good results. {Psh, yeah, when I DO have to do some project at school with others, they're just sitting back and doing whatever anyways... okay guys, I'll just do this and this and... yeah, just put your name there. [By the way, you may feel free to laugh at this; I'm in a rather jocular mood, and it is pretty humorous after all...]}). Wow, where did that go?

3. (I'm only on three? I think you're getting alot more than three facts here...) I dream of owning wild animal pets such an otter, a flying fox or fruit bat, a squirrel, a raccoon, a badger, a deer (one of those mini ones which I forget the real name of), a fennic fox, a kangaroo rat, a wallaby, a bushbaby, a saw-whet or elf owl...

4. I'm majoring in graphic design. I'd love to minor in: film, fashion design, photography, art ed, 3D animation (part of my Associates), illustration, etc etc; there's probably more, but we don't have all day.

5. I used to often exhaust myself when half-asleep in bed by working out complicated math problems in my sub-conscious mind. I didn't mean to, but it was in the days when I had math to do and it was always in my head. So, I'd wake up fatigued and think to myself, "What the HECK did I do that for??"

6. I just discovered Nutella the other day. And I WANT some NOW. Preciousss...

7. I've got a slight dark and morbid side to me, but it's not serious and goth-like; it's got more of a cute and humourous side to it. For instance, I immensely enjoy Edward Gorey's "Gashleycrumb Tinies" and varous Tim Burton creations. Actually, my sister says I have a slight Goth side to me, but it's not the mindset, it's more of an artistic element. I appreciate the beauty of things such as Gothic art and architecture (which really hasn't anything to do with the death and darkness cult at all).

P.S. I've started school again, so there won't be a whole lot of activity or comments from me on here/blogger... maybe a few graphics posts once in awhile. God bless!
